TOP NOTCH!!
I have the larger model vacuum sealer by Sunbeam... and it takes a fair bit of work to setup and use. And whilst it's very good, it takes up a lot of space. Now this little beauty does the same job and is a fifth of the size and virtually no setting up... just plug it in/charge it and go!!! Great value for money.
FoodSaver boxes & handheld sealer not working
The handheld sealer works well with the supplied FoodSaver bags. However, it fails to seal the two containers. The boxes I received a few montgs ago are not fit for purpose. The lids were not airtight enough for a vacuum to be created, when I tried them out last week. This is disappointing. I have previously successfully used a different vacuum box product, and hoped the FoodSaver boxes would be as useful.
Had one for years
Just received my new FoodSaver. I've had an old one since 2007, never missed a beat. Only reason for the upgrade was I couldn't get the containers that I use in the fridge to fit the old one anymore. Still works like a dream, great for sealing frozen food bags to go back into the freezer. Keeping cold meat etc for up to 2 weeks. The new zip seal bags are great for dried things or fridge , love that they are reusable, and the new container are stackable in the fridge.
